Hi, i have always used 16px X 16px images for favicons but i have seen a lot of sites lately (google) using 32px X 32px

What is the correct size to use, are there pros and cons to both sizes, thanks in advance...

You can use anyone, their is no harm with it.. Just see that your favicon should be visible.

Try favicon.cc or favicon.co.uk for generating favicons. Usually they give you a high res image and the browser can choose which resolution to display to the user.
