Original/stock photos are more than acceptable as part of your entry. You are wide open with this. You can go with the traditional legal theme (i.e court house, scales, etc.), incorporate a miami skyline backdrop, use pics of someone being handcuffed...whatever. Maybe tell a story in pictures? i.e someone getting arrested etc on the left the logo in the middle and a smiling face or something to the right...(if you don't get it...reading left to right someone in trouble, encounter the law firm, end up free ) Use your imagination. You'd serve yourself well to check out DUI attorneys in other cities to get inspiration. Please incorporate the "castle law" logo you can find at www.miamibankruptcyattorney.com as well as the lawyer name and phone number. (pm me if you want the file) The winner will provide .psd or .png file and be prepared to make a small edit or 2 of your final version (i.e. new phone number) Feedback will be given. The website that will be using the header graphic is not live. It will be a two column wordpress blog but the background colours etc will take off from your design. As I said, it`s wide open for you guys. The only thing to keep in mind is that it`s a lawyer site so be professional. Like I mentioned, do a search for DUI lawyers in other cities and you`ll get some ideas. I will be around to critique early entries to help. Also keep in mind that there will be other clients in other cities in the future. So even if you aren`t the `winner`this time out, I might purchase more than one design...or have you keep it on file for future use. Hope that helps. Spiritman
Well I guess this helps narrow it down for you guys. Chemicalinck...why not just reach into my pocket and steal my money? Technoguy...not close (I`ve seen some of your work here for a car guy that was good...what happened here?) Think about it. This isn`t an exercise in cut and paste, I can do that. Put yourself into the shoes of the guy or gal who`s just been arrested for a DUI. They are scared and helpless and looking for someone they can trust to help rescue them. Put yourself in the shoes of the attorney who is trying to be professional and convey confidence. Take a few minutes and look at other attorney sites...that`s your competition. Remember, this is for lots of potential work and I may purchase more than one design. Come on guys! Please consider putting in an entry and showing off your best work. Thanks Dimitri! That`s an okay submission, doesn`t knock my socks off. I hope these comments help everyone. First, We don`t need all that verbiage after the logo itself. Perhaps just leave: Call Phone Number ...because your future is at stake (or something else I might add later) I`m not sure the light blue is the formal, professional feel we need. We certainly don`t need to change the background to white behind the pics. IF we use handcuffs, I think male hands are better...but I`m not sold on just a couple hands stuck in handcuffs. I don`t think we`ll be using a pic of my client so we should probably ditch the pic of the lawyer too. Let`s see what ya got boys and girls! Spiritman
Thanks GSW! Certainly it`s more professional. But we can`t change the company logo. What are those guys looking at? While it does convey that there`s a team of lawyers working on the viewer`s behalf...that`s all it does. (...there isn`t necessarily a team though it`s okay to portray that.) Spend a little time doing some research. Google city dui or dwi attorney or lawyer Look at a few sites. Find some with nice headers. Ask yourself if yours compares to any of them. Get ideas from them. Make one just as good. The research should take 10 minutes or so. Remember, each entry you put here is also showcasing your talents to other viewers here too. Spiritman
Hmmm. This is something I hadn't thought of. It reminds my of a nameplate you'd find on a desk or an office door. Not Bad. Think of entering a posh attorney's office, brass and glass and all that stuff. So if you can make the "pinkish" background look like brushed bronze or pewter or something to make it look "upscale" that might work a little better. And the lettering etched or embossed...that might look cool. Try a different color font for the "Call now:" the white gets lost on that background. In fact while you are changing things why not try Call phone number ...because your future hangs in the balance ? I don't want pics of young folks that aren't my client. Perhaps try a different image...scales? older person? *Note for everyone* If you have to use istock photos or something go ahead, leave the watermark on them and if your entry is selected, when you get paid you can buy it. Alternatively, I'm trying to get a pic and permission from my client...I'll keep everyone posted. Keep trying folks! I look forward to a bunch more samples today.
