Like you all get what i mean I submitted a Pr 0 site to 300 directories of 1 and 2 PR and after one month till now there are 31 confirmed links i got out of it I have a contract with the bayer of only approved links so i tried an auto submitter witch perform the task in let say 10 minutes that i took 5 days Then i used auto submitter witch includes more then 350 directories ten days ago and guess what, no links came out till now and i don.t think that i should wait for any more links or should i
Probably speaks more of the quality of directories you've chosen to submit to rather than anything else.
With free submissions you get what you pay for. You pay nothing so why should you expect directory owners to be leaping up, jumping around shouting "Yahoo, I've got 231 websites to check today for no pay. I'll just get right down to work." You are very lucky to get any links.
Are you saying that paid inclusion gives you any guarantee that your site will be included? Well, I have news for you.... Try submit to AMRAY without following Submission Guidelines and then clock how fast it will take before you will loose your payment in addition to being blacklisted. fastreplies
A little bit illiterate aren't we? AMWAY? WTF is that? When you're saying "free submissions", you're generalizing free directories by making sound as if they all the same. I can promise you that you're wrong if not incompetent when you're making such a claims as much as incompetent one can be when it comes to copying correct name. fastreplies
As this is a discussion thread and not a specific witch hunt you don't need to get so defensive. I reckon it was a fine comment. Free directories are created constantly and a small percentage would be well maintained. Paid directories that want to survive still need to have guidelines but, I reckon, they have a responsibility to "groom" paid submissions if they're out of line.
My being defensive is in response to groundless forum’s myth that only paid directories capable to carry high standards when it comes to Titles, Descriptions and selection. Mocking free directories operators only because they’re altruistically support the Internet community is simply insulting to those who are giving their time without asking "what is in there for me?" I wish people start paying back respect to those who give them something for nothing. fastreplies
My first question to any thread of this nature is what is the site in question being submitted. If it is the one in your signature the problem may be more with your site than with the directories. Your blog was begun in 2008 with 10 posts and no posts were made again until 2010 and now has a grand total of 14 posts. It contains lists that could have been lifted from anywhere and ironically has a single tutorial post about submitting to directories which is full of screaming text that is quite difficult to read. Were I a general directory owner, more than likely your submission would be looked over and left in the queue to see if you abandon a second time. Chances are more likely I would delete it eventually and never accept it. It looks and smells as if it is a totally MFA site even more so because it is on a free host. If you are submitting a different site than the one in your signature, look it over critically and see if either the submission or the site is causing people to hesitate to accept. If it is the blog, get some good content up, fix the multitude of spelling errors (use Firefox with I think Google's toolbar and it spell checks as you type) and get rid of all the screaming text.
You can submit to our free web directories. Currently we have 41 in our directory network. The approval process usually about 3 ~ 5 business days. As long as you submit in the correct category your link will most likely get approved. e.g. If you submit your sites in the signature, your site will probably get approved if you submit it to "Web Directory -> Directories Directory". Here's one of the sample directory: http://www.web-directory-plus.com From there you can access the "Free Directory List" on the side navigation. Enjoy.
Quality directory submission does matter. For example: if your site is dealing with legal matters, then submitting your site to legal and law related directories will make more sense than submitting that to general directories.
There are directories which take longer than 60 days to approve your listing - they're probably sorting through so many spam submissions daily. I think it would be better if you don't use an automatic submitter for your submissions. And if you are offering your services doing directory submissions - ask them to pay you by the hour instead (ans submit to the directories manually) because with directories you really can't tell how and why they don't/approve submissions. I also read somewhere that using an email address that is the same as the domain you are submitting increases the chances that it will get approved. A little tip for directory submission - before you start submitting, have 4 or 5 descriptions ready. I save mine on a notepad and I try to incorporate the keywords that I am targeting in the description. I also try to make it enticing for people to read, not just an ordinary description of the company - Like Blah blah company does blah blah blah. Spice it up a little bit Try abc-directory and http://directory.dreamteammoney.com/ - got my links approved within a week I think maybe 2 or 3 days tops and I still get a lot of quality traffic from those two sites.
Thanks a lot but i want to know if i use the same description than ? Coz one my colleague is doing same. So whether it would affect its rankings or not.
Correct me if I'm wrong guys. I think it is ok to use the same description for these directories - anyway they don't get accepted all at the same time and sometimes they don't get accepted at all. But you also have to keep in mind that some guys own several directories so using the same descriptions and titles would probably affect your chances of getting accepted. IMO and from my experience it is better to use several descriptions every time you submit to the directories. And I agree with @YMC sometimes it's not the description that's the problem - sometimes the problem is the site that's being listed itself. There are also some directories that do not accept sites with a PR 0-1.
If you are submitting to low quality general directories, getting 31 links from 300 submissions in a month is not bad at all. More will come in by 60 days, and possible some after that. If you get 40-50 out of 300 for free directory submissions, there is nothing wrong with that.
