31 domains, Hip hop / rap / instrumentals Empire for Sale! 10,000+ uniques / month

The main site is http://www. FreeInstrumentals. com (please don't post the
URL on the thread, to avoid the known search engine issue with the SEs
spidering the thread - as the domain name was searched several tens of
times and users got to us through it).

The sale includes the following domain names (31!), with the following
expiration dates:

Note, some of these domains are worth a decent $XX on their own, even
undevved - all included with this sale. Others are probably worth $X, but still
could appeal to the right target (e.g. texasrapmusic.com), especially if you
setup a free e-mail address service @atlantarapmusic.com
@newyorkrapmusic.com etc. - all domains have around 7-8 months left on
them, so you're not getting a dying package here

Currently they all point to one site - Free Instrumentals.com

Free Instrumentals.com was registered 3.5 years ago. The site is very
unique, and contains quite a bit of free instrumentals for download, which
are currently hosted offsite, as you can see by visiting the site and browsing
around.

We used to have a forum on RapMusicWorld.com with about 1,000+
members, the forum hosted nice rap battles, tournaments etc. where people
would upload their stuff, and other people would rate it - very active overall.
Unfortunately it crashed around August, and it was never taken back up
since then. I'm not sure if it can be easily "revived", so assume you're not
receiving that forum with the site, but I'm still looking into that.

Visits for October have slowed down, and are now at around 2,500-3,000 for
the month (as opposed to 10-15,000 for earlier months). The reason for
that being, is we were featured in earlier months on radio stations and blogs,
whereas this month we didn't do anything active.

Here are some traffic stats, referrers and such. Just so you know, the bulk
of the traffic comes from a #1 rank on google and a #3 rank on yahoo for
"Free Instrumentals" which gets decent searches from people interested
in downloading royalty free music from artists that are usually just starting
out.

If you work on getting the site ranked for "Instrumentals", you'll get a huge
jump in traffic, as that's a much more commonly searched term (many times
over).

The site has earned about $1,500 in google adsense over the past year. I
don't have proof of revenue for the earnings, other than the following:

This screenshot depicts just October's revenue up the 14th or so, which I
got from the former owner, and it's not channeled - simply because the
former owner (I'm a new owner) never had other sites, so he didn't channel.
October's revenue is lower than former months, which works out due to the
the lower visitors due to less exposure.

I could get screenshots of earlier months, but then again there is no channel
as I explained - so this is the only thing we can offer.

I'm looking for offers, in the neighborhood of high XXX to very low XXXX. Why?

1) If you just keep the site as is it can keep generating a steady flow of around
$60 in adsense revenue per month, but that's of course not tickling its
potential.

2) There is also the added value of the domains (31 rap related domains, some
are worth q modest amount on their own, others will be worth money if devved,
all expire in 7-8 months), some of which are very well aged.

3) Search engine rankings, extra potential there on MSN, and on yahoo (get to
#1 on yahoo, from #3 )

4) Existing content, design etc.

I don't think I am asking for too much, here, but feedback is welcome. I will list it
on SitePoint shortly, unless I get a decent offer here in the next day or two

offers starting $500, but I definitely can't guarantee I'll sell it (this isn't an

I will consider selling the domains alone, but would prefer to sell as a package of course.

Rapmusicworld.com used to be the domain name for the rap forums I was mentioning, until they crashed - it's a good domain, for now it's part of this sale, but I'll contact you if that changes.

Links are broken.... adsense impressions don't add up with number of pages loaded.

links are broken = the site has been neglected since August, when the forum went down... that's also why revenue went down.

Adsense impressions don't add up? about 1900 impressions up to October 13th or so when the seller took the screenshot, whereas currently (about 7 days later), there are about 2,500 or whatever (I forgot) - adsense is only on the main page if memory serves, but I could be wrong about that. How is this fishy ?

 

Got a $200 offer, and another $500 offer on FreeInstrumentals.com alone, without the rest of the domains. This is not a bad offer, and I will consider it - but looking for more, as just with the existing revenue, traffic, rankings and content, the site is probably worth more along the lines of $700-$900.

From having a look around the place I lost track of the number of 404's I saw, so for that reason alone I shalln't be investing in this. Shame as it could of tied in nicely with my main project. (check signature).

Rich_UK, the broken links mainly related to the forum and it's sub-links etc. - getting it back up is a matter of installing a new forum, and working from there. There are a few other broken links, but that really shouldn't stop anyone from bidding on a site with such assets.

Anyhow, domains still available for sale if anyone is interested, I'll go ahead and advertise them in the proper section.
