    hi,
I am about to built links for client's website. Unfortunately, there is a 302 redirection on his main page, and it can't be removed or replaced with 301.

So I'm not sure what would be better - to built links to the main page, or to mainpage.com/something/ where 302 moves?

    thanks
    luke

My experience is that a redirect (301 or 302) from the home page to a deeper page is not doing any good for SEO. Even if it looks difficult, I would recommend to remove the redirect and to move the content (or at least some content) to the home page.

I'm aware of that but I'm also afraid that they really can't change it.

So what would be better i this situation - linking main page or deeper page?
