301'ing a penailixed website to another - will penalty follow?

    Just wondering if you can keep PR and links by 301 forwarding widgets.com (the peanilized website) to widgets.org (the brand new website) without ?

    What happend when the above is done?

    I'd think you'd be better off getting rid of whatever it was that got you penalized.
