Hi there, I hope someone can give me some advice, I'd really appreciate it.

    The story is this:

We have a commerce site hosted by Volusion, we want to move the site to a new domain using a different shopping cart vendor. Normally I would simply put a modified htaccess file in the root folder but Volusion doesn't allow access to it and are generally very unhelpful when it comes to this.

My solution is to point our domain at a new hosting space and put our htaccess file with the 301 redirects there.

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?

    Many thanks indeed!

    Neil

Thanks for you reply, I can't either - it's just that it's my first week in a new job and the responsibility has fallen on me to get our traffic across to the new site successfully!

Lots of formats are there to get redirect domain to domain. You should try with other format's of codes.
