301 redirection of Joomla non-sef urls

    Can I do this using .htaccess?
    I have to redirect urls like:

    index.php?option=com_marketplace&page=show_category&catid=18&Itemid=26

    to

    ads/category.html

    I tried some solutions, but nothing worked.. I think I read somewhere that .htaccess cant redirect urls in which is ? !

    I was using marketplace, and I switched to adsmanager.

    try using 404sef component for friendly search engine url and the best part it's free :)

    I tried it, 404sef is very good, but cant work for me. Too tired of changing...
    Any other suggestion?
