301 Redirecting Unrelated Site = PageRank?

    If I 301 redirect one of my pr4 sites to a site in a completely different niche will it still pass pagerank? If I converted it to the other niche and let it get indexed then 301would it be better?

    No matter if you convert the site or not - it will pass pr for sure. But you should directly redirect it IMO as that site has unrelevant links anyway.
