   I'm working on a client’s 7 year old site with many existing inbound links (mostly naturally acquired) to both www and non-www url:
   
   http://www.mysite.com
   http://mysite.com
   
   There is no existing 301 re-direct. If I do a 301 redirect to http://www.mysite.com, will the site "capture" all the links benefits from http://mysite.com?

   Yes, but make sure that those are '301 permanent moved' redirects
