301 redirect to a new domain (time in SERP)?

    Hi

I would like to know how much time is required by Google to rank a new domain name after a 301 redirect (from an old one).

Fore example I have Site A 301 redirected to Site B. Site A ranked very well in search engine and I changed the brand name and redirected Site A ro Site B.

How much time should I wait for Site B to have the same ranking as Site A? In the past I 301 redirected like this and Site B got the same ranking after 4-5 months. What's your experience? I heard that Google required 3-4 months to calculate everything and rank the new domain like the ones you redirected from. But what's your experience?

Usually it takes 1 to 3 months after your redirect and submit a change of address request, but it depends on Google, no one can really give you an answer.

I have done this for one of my websites, and Google had crawled the website within a month. Now my new domain is ranking good on all the keywords as the previous one.Furthermore, it depends on the process you have opted for redirection. If you follow Google's guideline to redirect a domain to the new domain, then it will give good results.

It takes just a few days. Once Google recrawls your old site and finds out that it has been redirected to a new domain, they will index the new domain and remove the old one from their index.

The few days you have to wait for the 301 redirect to come into effect in the SERPs is the number of days it will take Google to find the redirect and transfer all the link juice and rankings of the former site to the new site.

I don't know why some members are mentioning months. In all the redirects I've ever done, my new domains assumed the rankings of the old domains redirected to them after 2 to 3 days. In one case, it was within 24 hours.
