OK I was just wondering if any had some insights into how Google might deal with a 301 redirect to a 301 redirect to a new page. I only ask because say you do a 301 redirect when you move a page or change the URL or something this Google PR is passed on right? Well what would happen if you then moved that page or change the URL again and wanted to do a 301 redirect to conserve Google PR etc?
If i am correct, you want to redirect to another page using 301 then why do you want to redirect again? Just redirect your page to last destination directly with 301. If you keep 301 redirect then you are saying Google that the URL has permanently moved to another location...
I'm implying if I 301 redirect a page and then in 6 months time I was to 301 redirect the page to a new page. So should I change the original 301 redirect to the latest page as well as 301 redirecting the other page as well to the new location? Or should I just 301 redirect the last page to the new page? LOL now I'm even confusing myself...
