I could use some advice here about 301 redirects and whether it would be beneficial to a new site I am creating. Here is a little background. I have a domain name that is 4 years old ( We Will Call it Site A ) it was online in the past and was a real estate site for a certain city. This domain hasnt been live in almost 2 years. Google is still showing some websites pointing links to this domain using old anchor text related to that cities real estate market. I have another website ( Site B ) that is ranking fairly well in G for another city related to real estate. This website is 2 years old and has a PR 5. Plus I have another website Site C ) related to real estate that is about a year old and ranking pretty well for another city and has a PR 4. My question is: I want to setup site A which is a 4 yr old domain name for a brand new city related to real estate and 301 those other websites B and C to it that are online presently and ranking fairly well in their perspective cities. 1. Even though these other websites have anchor text not related to the new website will it still help Site A rank faster and avoid the sandbox? 2. Will the PR passed on to Site A from Sites B and C? 3. Even though the Anchor text would be different for Site A than B and C will the BLs these other 2 sites have gained help Site A with it being in a different city but same theme? 4. If at a later date I decide I want to remove those 301s to Site A from sites B and C would it take long to get back the rankings I currently have with them? I hope this made sense. If with the information I have supplied you have any advice on how to better handle this new site I would greatly appreciate it. I am just not sure if 301-ing sites B and C to this new site A will help it in any way with G.
I am assuming this is a typo....What do you mean if I use everything it will pass from one to another?
Just know this, 301 redirect changes the Google Index results and it doesn't pass PR. It is a completely new domain.
Incorrect - it does pass PR http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/012409.html http://www.google.com/search?q=301+...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
