    Hello All

Would it be wise to redirect referal links to the main page? IE:
    www.mysite.com/?referal=usernamehere

My first thought was yes, because it would remove duplicate pages. IE thousands of people linking to their own referal link.

However after looking at other sites that don't redirect them, it seems to not be creating duplicate pages. Does Google know that its a referal link and not think it's dupes?

I did do the redirect, but I'm wondering now if I was shooting myself in the foot ?

    Thanks!
    Tim

I think that probably works fine.

You don't really have to worry about duplicate pages as long as they are on the same domain. Google handles those just fine. Th eonly time to worry about duplicate content is when it lies on two different domains.
