301 redirect question

    Hi

I 301 redirected one of my sites directory to another site and the search engines (Google also)thought it was the whole domain that needed to be changed. My question is I have removed all 301's, will the search engines bring back my old site automatically or do I have to request somehow to bring my old site back?

    Thanks

I'm confused, did you 301 a sub directory or a whole domain to another domain?

If you did a 301 for only a sub directory then its highly unlikely that the whole domain is removed from google.

Such a thing can only happen in case all of your incoming links point to that 301 subdirectory and not the domain(homepage) of your site.
