Hi guys, I intend to migrate a WP blog from XdomainX.com/blog to YdomainY.com. Notice that the new blog is to be located at the root while the other was in a sub directory off the root.

What I wish to do is to 301 all posts/pages to the new domain. For example X.domainX.com/blog/category/seo/seo-tips-for-you.html will 301 to YdomainY.com/category/seo/seo-tips-for-you.html.

What should my .htaccess file look like? Do I need to reference each and every page in the .htacess file like follows:
    Redirect 301 blog/category/seo/seo-tips-for-you.html http://YdomainY.com/category/seo/seo-tips-for-you.html
    Code (markup):

Also, are you being consistent with the www/no www so you won't get different page/blog count numbers/ratings? There's a plugin for Wordpress for that.
