i have a website with joomla and i want to make it's uri friendly. if i make the uri friendly however, it will create broken links. Should i remove the old uri using robots.txt and then remove them from webmaster tools, or should i simply redirect them to the new page?
if you want to retain ranking benefit then use redirect option else if the pages were not ranking, delete them and submit removal request for 404 pages
