301 redirect on Google's Sandboxed domain

One of my site got stuck in Google's Sandbox due to aggressive link building (IMO)

I am thinking of buying new domain and do a 301 redirect on sandboxed site to new site and move all the contents from old site to new one.

    Is this worth doing it?

    Has anyone tried anything similar?

Any advice on how to recover a site if it's sandboxed will be appreciated.

    Thanks :)

Do that and new domain will be sandboxed.

301 generally pass on any penalty that the domain has. Your best bet is to just wait it out.
