301 redirect is not very familiar to me so i need some help. I want to redirect 2 or 3 (A, B, C) domains to another domain (X) X has a higher PR, more back links and better position in search engines than A, B, C. I try to understand the process of 301 redirect. If i redirect A, B and C to X, this will have a good cumulative effect and X will have more backlinks and could gain a better position in search engines?
my personal opinion is that unless you are directing traffic from different countries you should not redirect domains to the same page.. also when directing from different countries its a good idea to create a landing page for each country and 301 the domain to that page..
I just want to understand the mechanism of this process. Does it help me cumulate more back links for my domain and to gain a better position in search engines? I'am not interested in directing traffic. 301 just simply redirect A, B, C to X or it also has some other implications? Do they transfer some benefits to the domain to which they redirect?
