301 redirect - counting visits

    Hi there

I have a domain that I use for promotional purposes for one specific area, but I did a permanent redirect to my main website because I didn't have the time to develop a small website due to time restrictions.

Now my question is if I have 123.com redirected to 999.com, when I login into my cpanel account to check traffic, 123.com will show some traffic or the people visiting it will be counted in 999.com's log ?

Sorry if this is kind of confusing, but I'm learning on how to admin my own sites on the run. Any help will be appreciated.

No, your 123.com cpanel wont show redirected traffic because traffic goes to 999.com. On the other hand if you are first loading a page inside 123.com and then using some way of redirection from that page to 999.com then those page loads will be counted.
