Say I have established 2 sites with different content, but topically related.

One is PR 3, and the other PR 5.

I want to 301 redirect PR3 site to PR5 site, because the PR5 one does not have much traffic and seems to be getting worse in SERPS too.

How will this redirect PR/backlinks/anythign else?

Anytone has experience with 301 between existing sites?

    Thanks.

Ive done it with great succes. I bought an old established domain with good ranking for my keyword and redirected to my new site. After a while my new site got the old sites positions in the serps and have been there since.

I just made a .htaccess file on the old domain like this:

    redirectMatch 301 ^/(.*) http://www.MyNewDomain.com/

    Thats is!!
