301 redirect 2 different links to 1?

Hi All,

I have two similar pages on my site that would make more sense to be redirected to a new, more SEO friendly page I just built. Is it okay to 301 redirect both of them to the same page? Are there any negative results to doing this?

I think there will not be any problem with doing that. You may carry on with that. Do it with your .htaccess file.

The previous posters are all correct. There is nothing wrong w/ doing so.

 

It is actually recommended that you 301 both to the new page if it is better optimized and highly-relative.

 

I also don't think, redirection will harm you in any way...you can go ahead with it. Make sure the targeted page is well optimized..
