301 Re-Direct taking forever to load

    I set up a 301 permanent redirect to forward my main site to a new URL. However it is now taking forever to load. I am afraid that I am going to lose customers because it takes like 10sec for the site to forward now. Is this normal with a 301 or did i do something wrong?

    yep it's normal to do it using 301 redirect

    may i know your htaccess 301 redirect code ?
