    Hi, quick questions about redirects

Say I have 5 sites related to the same niche. I want to consolidate into one main site... whats the best thing to do?

Should I just do a direct 301 and have no content on the related sites, or should I keep the content on the sites and do like a 5-10 second delayed redirect to the main site? If all of my child sites are indexed in google I don't want to lose all of that... hope this makes sense. Will google penalize me for this strategy or no?

    Appreciate any info.

It's easy. Build the main site with the consolidated content, then 301 every page on the other domains to their new locations on the main site. Same with the other domains.

Use 301 redirects and not meta refreshes. Make sure you don't just redirect homepages, each internal page that is indexed should be redirected to respective pages on new site.
