301 permalink redirects within same domain

    Hi

    I very much want to follow the Googles Guidelines.

    So I was wondering if the following is legal or the best way to do it.

    Here is the scenario:


    I want domainname.com/valentine-day-gifts

    I created that page "valentine-day-gifts" in WordPress but I did not create that directory.

    I saw that you can do a Permalink 301 that goes from
    domainname.com/?page_id=2 (that is where the "valentine-day-gifts" is)
    to
    domainname.com/valentine-day-gifts

    Is that ok or do I need to create the actual folder with the name
    valentine-day-gifts?

    Can I have this "domainname.com/valentine-day-gifts" redirect to this "domainname.com/?page_id=2" and not throw up a red flag with google adsense?

    Does the fact that I am staying within the same domain make it ok?
