    300k is moderately competative, but a well written piece of content with a page name that macthes the content will do the job for you nicely. Go for it.

    Results don't really matter. I'm #3 for a term with 300 million results it wasn't hard as not many people target the keyword( I don't know why it's searched 1000 times a day)

    That qualifies as a niche market to me and prime territory for taking over the SERPS. It all depends on what the top 10 sites are doing. We specialize in Niche SEO and we would be salivating to work with a website that is competing with only 300,000 other sites.
