Well,until I have got this size of traffic, I have been supposed that receving great traffic can enable me to got great income. But now, things does't work as I supposed. Because the more I get traffic dramatically, the more CTR drops dramatically!! eCPM also drops. I want to know how the mega-site owner get mega-income. I think when it comes to click related ads like Adsense, income doesn't depend on traffic than we supposed. What do you think of that? To got $1000/month , do you think how many page views must you get? Do you think how many unique users must you deliver to your site? Maybe the key is the number of page views per user,the proportion of the new visiter and the proportion of the visiter who is naive and don't have Internet Ads literacy like we site owner have. So I think SNS and forum site like this seems to deliver little money. I expect your constructive ideas. so sorry to my English is very broken.
Well it depends on the number of visitors + their location + your nichey + other factors. Suppose if you have only 10000UV a day which on average see 3 page views each that means they are more interested in your site than on the ads displayed on it. Location matters alot, a click by someone out there in Europe or US is valued higher than the one originating from any of the third world countries. Nichey is also a factor, I dont know whats your so cant comment.
it seems you do not have good ctr as with this huge traffic, you should earn more if you have more clicks. i think you should check that you have quality traffic, this seems to be your problem and you need to do a few experiments with ads color place.
