30000+ hits daily and $5 a day. Any advice?

That is a whole lot of hits per day. You might consider monetizing it for other products and some advertisers on your site. That traffic you are getting is really huge. Wish I have that kind of traffic.

BTW. I cannot see the ads. anybody care to show us where the ads are?

On the forum page I think it would be better if you can put an ad on the very top just below the header. Just like most forums.

It's a nice site actually, just try to experiment on your ad placement until you're satisfied with it.

BTW its really very low as my wallpaper site,


but i wanna to something.......

1. how many unik visitor u get
2. how many clicks u gain.
3. traffic source
4. traffic from which country.


becaz if your traffic is not from us then your cpm is going down.
and if u get traffic but cant able to gain clicks then u have need to do work with your adsense placement.

Hey guys. So the reason why you guys ain't seeing any ads is because I've disabled ads on articles that are less than 2 days old. Click on an older article and you'll see 2 ads, one on the top and one on the bottom of the article. The reason why I don't have any ads on the index page is because I want to have a good impression when people come, plus they will click through an article and eventually see an ad anyway.

The forum gets about 20k impressions a day and I chucked it full of ads but it makes 20-80 cents a day.

Unique visitors is half of my impressions. Can't give out too much info otherwise. For those who recommend me to use CPM networks, do you know of any? Tribalfusion continues to reject me for some reason but I see tribalfusion on other sites in my niche. Any advice on how to make a little more would be great. I also run a Windows Vista site that gets 3k unique per day and that makes about 10-20 a day =\

 

Are you trying to make money or a good impression? I just clicked all over your site and did not find ANY AdSense ads. Put AdSense anywhere and everywhere. If you are providing good info, then that is the "good impression" that is most important.

 

That's just speculating. Log in your Google Analytics ( or whatever you use ) and see what are your most visited pages. No ads on homepage, no ads on new posts which get the most traffic from homepage ... bad for revenue

Try to change type or position of ads which get the most search traffic .. like removing image ads I see all the time on your site ...

 

Thanks for the advice, I realized my home page was viewed much more than my most popular article. Any other advice will be appreciated. I want to have ads but not make it obtrusive.

I am sorry to hear that its too low, I have the same problem I get about 25000+ page views and 200+ clicks which makes $6 - $8 per day, is that good enough? I have just signed up with clicksor and yahoo publishers network and will let you know if I get good results from them.

You should experiment a bit with your ad placements , I saw lesser ads in your ad blocks.

try the keyword tool given by adwords and choose some high paying phrases while writing content, which might help.

 

As has been said before try working with different ad placements; that will be your best bet. There's usually a balance between intrusive ads and money that most people find. It's important ( in my opinion ) to blend text ads in so that they look don't immediately scream 'it's an ad' to the user.

In the end there's not much you can do about the payout of certain niches. At about 140k hits/day ( it feels strange using the term hits ) I'm only at $13/day for a niche that is notorious for low payouts.

Tribalfusion are tough to get in mate.. you can try some affiliates instead
