    Hi,

May 1st 2007 will be 300th birthday of the acts of union a Parliament bill to unite Scotland and England to form the United Kingdom.

As the May 1st anniversary comes there are more and more people talking of a split of Scotland from the United Kingdom. I believe this will never happen i believe Scotland need england just as England needs Scotland.

But for a second lets say the acts of union was revoked and Scotland and England became individual states. Would you think that england and Scotland would still be a world player in foreign affairs, military, economic achievements, science and more as they are as the United Kingdom.

I am interested to see your opinions on this but keep it clean.

What makes you think that England is world player right now? England did not have that role since the end of world war II.

I think England is laying a low profile. It dominated earlier and sometimes in a-not-so-nice way back then...brutal at times. But i'm sure we all know if they are provoke in such's away you'll see the english like you wish you hadn't at all.

i will vote SNP in the election

there is an ever widening difference in views and cultures between Scotland and England. Scotland already have a Parliament and the only reason England want to stay as part of the UK is for Scotland's North Sea oil, to dump there Nuclear Waste, aswell as trying out new ideas that may have disasterous effects on us rather than England

Independence will increase Scotland's prospects for the future and i believe it would have an opposite effect on England

And these YouTube videos are so English rather than British ;)

In my opinion i dont see any benefits for scotland to want independence. I am not scotish however so i cannot look at it from that point of view.
