Hi Tetragon,

Thanks for the feedback, I will do another round of tweaks based on your suggestions. I have a question... "The About Us" space perhaps this can be placed on the top left side column, am I right? followed by pages and archives.. ok no problem, will do the footer and bring a bit of similar green (from the header) on the body template as well.

It would not be any problem to code the avatar to be in that position.

You can tell me what colours would you like for the template. I mean what shall I try to darken / lighten, or use different colours.

I'm going to hold off on further feedback until after the deadline. After that I'll give feedback on entries received that are awaiting feedback. I'll allow a further 24 to 48 hrs for revisions (time to be decided after dealine) and then I'll choose an entry.

Posting a response to a posting on the thread breaks my posts which I presume is not against DP's T&C ? ... would I be correct in my assumption?

 

Yeh, like the two posts you did above my one just before, you couldve just edited the first oen, as no one had posted after it.

Its really hard for me bcoz as you see its 11:12pm GMT (Dublin) now
so i did it in last few mins, my net was creating lot of problems.

No Shaz .... you are wrong .... GMT is an hour behind at the moment .... It may be 11.12 p.m. where you are and you may be in the GMT zone but you are probably + 1 hour because:

GMT DOES NOT SWITCH TO SUMMER TIME
The United Kingdom (UK) switches to British Summer Time (BST)
(which is an hour ahead of GMT)
from Sunday 25 March 2007 01:00 GMT
until: Sunday 28 October 2007 01:00 GMT

So .............. you had an hour to spare! You had plenty of time to submit your entry!

oh i was really confused bcoz of this, I m in Pakistan & i sat my computer time as GMT (Dublin). so i just followed it thats why when u said 58 mins it made me confused

Yes ..... anyone with an entry submitted will have a chance to edit/improve/change etc. their designs for a set period of time after the deadline (to be decided - but will not be more than 48 hours)

 

Tweaked Template (#2) as per request.
......................................


Accomplished Tweaks:

-The title Paddy Bloggit have been edited as specified, and made the P and B of each work in capital cases. Text size have also been coincided for both words.

-A tinge of green has been imparted on the general body template... The color has been well adjusted to balance and reflect the general wholeness of the template as per suggested.

-The horizontal brown and beige lines have been removed.

-The speech bubbles have been repositioined facing to the right as requested.

-'ABOUT US' area have also been integrated on the top left column with an apparent space for avatar image. Other necessary additions e.g. Pages, Archives, and others have been properly placed as well.

- As requested, The template have been toned and balanced in both color and elements: Content background titles have been removed, incremented the entry title size, edited to appropriate color and added a seperation line representing the color of irish flag (orange,white,green).

- Footer has also been amended through a subtle but effective small illumination image of the header and added a minimal emboss imprint. The footer change suits very well the overall look without being heavy.

Your design is still in the running. (The flag in the header is wrong way round - it should be green, white and gold). Put a search box on the pages tab strip instead of the url for Paddy Bloggit.


I may have more feedback/changes for all but want you to ask me questions for clarification. Bulletpoint your questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm also going to look at my initial design brief to see if there is anything I have forgotten.
