I don't know what to say 15challenger. It's not quite what I'd imagined the site to be. It doesn't stir any emotion in me. It doesn't produce that 'wow' factor for me.

I'm sorry ..... not what I'm after.

As I'm looking for a really special design for Paddy Bloggit I'm going to raise the amount of the prize I'm offering for the psd to $200.

I'm going to look at them all and post a general reaction to them all ..... keep watching.

It should help designers pin down what I want a little bit more ..... (although my initial posting was fairly comprehensive and should be a very good guide)

Designers submitting entries can always ask questions ... it would/may help pin down what I want!

The design is the most important part at this stage .... I have a coder external to this contest who will take the job on if necessary once I have a design in place.

Note to all:

The header is to be a special part of the site and should include:

• The flag needs to flow rather than look like a rectangular box.
• The quotation: 'Think like a wise man but communicate in the language of the people' W.B. Yeats
• 'Voice of the People' (indicating that Paddy Bloggit champions the cause of the common man etc.)

The header up on Paddy Bloggit at the moment is good ... it reflects Irishness without being too over the top. It has errors on it; the flag is turned the wrong way, the quotation is badly placed, the title 'Paddy Bloggit' doesn't work for me. The use of familiar Irish buildings/monuments/statue is an innovation that designer of that header has to be applauded for.

The rest of the design would have to reflect the colours of the header throughout. Don't use the actual green and gold (orange) of the Irish flag as the main colours for the site .... they are too bright/garish for my taste.

I will know the right design when I see it. It has a different focus to my ' Lord Bloggit ' site but it still demands the same amount of work/design/innovation.

Come on guys ..... impress me!!

The last two posted designs above have potential .... they just need to be worked on to achieve that potential!

Make this a design that Lord Bloggit will be proud of!!

Thanks for the updated design missdanni! It ain't bad. It does look like a web 2.0 design to me.
As a minimalist site it works well but poor auld Paddy wants to be famous .... there was a time Paddy was very minimalistic .... the pint of Guinness and the fish & chips in the newspaper ..... now Paddy is in the money .... he sold a few sites to developers .... he drives a 4X4 (no hitch) etc.

But seriously ............. I'd like to see the design expanded a little bit more.
