What's going on in India? 300 maoist insurgents escape from a jail in one day. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071216/wl_asia_afp/indiaunrest
Indian definitely needs some homeland security. There is a muslim Kashmir insurgency, concentrated in the Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir. Moasist insurgency and Punjabi insurcency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurgent_groups_in_Northeast_India http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punjab_insurgency
Problems are everywhere. Maoists are recruiting the poor masses. They have support there. Even after 60 years of independence, many areas still do not have roads or electricity. All because of corrupt government officials and inefficient government machinery. Police brutality is another big reason. Government is taking away the land from people and gifting thousands of acres of land to corporates and their cronies. People are angry. That is where the support for Maoists is coming from. I don't know who is arming them, but their arms are coming from Myanmar, Bangladesh and Nepal. IMO, these disfranchised people should be integrated into the mainstream. Only then will violence subside.
300 escapees in one day is crazy. That's why the US has to keep the taliban locked up in Guantanamo. If we send them back to their own countries they will be back on the street and bombing us.
The Gujarat riots are not an insurgency. In the sectarian violence at least 2,000 people were hacked, burnt and shot to death
i disagree here is the link with more info.: http://www.tehelka.com/story_main35.asp?filename=Ne031107Conspirators.asp
