    Day 16
    --------

    May 14, 2009
    12:09am MST (Arizona)

Spent this morning researching enough for 2 more GOLDFISH articles... a brief bit of keyword research work (we'll reveal our keyword methods eventually so please bear with us... and NO there will never be an ebook of methods or any other sort of affiliate/product/service sales from us to you guys - you're colleagues, not customers to us).

Then, we got our baby ready to be auctioned here on DP for seed money to be able to expand this project a lot faster... You can find the auction for that in this thread in case you'd like to see our very first PPC efforts:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1342948

That took hours longer than it should've because we got interrupted by some completely unnecessary personal dramas. It'll be our first full website (not just domains) that we sell through DP (assuming our reserve is met here, of course).

    So, more in 24!

GDM: We're planning to do as many websites covering as many niches as we need to be able to reach the "$300/day for 8 straight days" goal. I know that sounds vague, but our concept is to provide sites that improve the internet by giving people what they want so we'll try to stick to subjects we care about and avoid sites that are simply quick cash-ins. We've not set a goal of X amount of sites earning X amount per site or anything like that. Hope this clarifies things.. if you need more info, feel free to ask and THANK YOU for joining in! :)

    Day 17

Rip-roaring! That's the way I'd describe today. It flew past at warp speed to say the least. Glittersoul and I traded off getting our work accomplished and I think we did a first rate job. But first, the bad news. The domain name we'd chosen for project GOLDFISH turns out to be taken. We both could've sworn we'd checked its availability around the time that we started this thread but apparently some utter bastage yanked it in the mean time. BUMMER! We now are stuck trying to come up with another, hopefully better, domain name for GOLDFISH. We will get through this, but a short period of mourning is definitely in order.

On better notes, I researched yet another article and I really love when a topic comes up with all sorts of interesting little details. I believe I mentioned this before, but I like my articles to be as in depth as they are easy to read. I want to reveal things you might not've seen in every other article on the same subject. A passing grade just isn't enough, I feel, I want these articles to really give satisfaction to the visitors so that maybe, just maybe, that surfer will end up bringing up the name of our site on down the line over coffee with a friend or some other heart warming scenario. That or I don't want to be embarrassed by my own writing. One of those two, any way.

Glittersoul is a keyword researching fiend, folks! The girl can sniff out a solid niche the way a dingo finds a bleedin' kangaroo! She's constantly doing things around here and then some brilliant inspiration will manifest itself and she'll be tapping her foot until I finish whatever I'm doing so she can chase a handful of words down to a sizeable gap in internet offerings on any given subject. Bravo to her ever-sparking mind because we ended up exposing a bunch of great niches we intend to design sites for.

The site we're auctioning here on DP now has several interested potential buyers. I've learned how to show proof of earning and traffic, which is something I had no idea how I'd ever do. I'll be covering that here soon because I think it might be helpful for those of you who end up wanting to sell your own websites. Unless, of course, you're brighter than me and already know how to do it. That's very possible.

In a surprise move that'll sure shock the nations, we've purchased six new domains because we had the money to do so. That'll boil down to about four websites for this project. We'll go into detail on those later, but we're awful proud to be in possession of such an awesome set of names and can't WAIT to unveil our plans for those puppies!

That's it for today, in 24 we'll shoot another update yall's way!

    PS -

amyp0245: I hope this whets you appetite! And also, thank you for joining in!

dekree81: We're incredibly flattered that you've chosen to join and thank you very much for the compliments because sentiments like yours are what keep us going when we worry we're wasting people's time by updating... we hope you glean a few useful bits from this thread or maybe a little inspiration when ya need it!

    Day 18
    -------

    May 16, 2009
    3:23am MST (Arizona)

Sometimes, when you get on a roll you can work all day long and not get too tired. By all rights, I should be completely exhausted because I've been working more or less non-stop since about 10am this morning. But I'm not. Not at all, actually. Of course, I'll still go to bed because sleep deprivation, as enticing as it seems, is not exactly a path to success. The key here is keeping balance even if you sort of have to force yourself, in my experience.

So what all did we get done today? Well, we started off the day handling the auction of our site, answering questions and all that. The first bid is for $250.00 so it feels pretty dang good to see that! Then I realized I'd not correctly transferred a domain we auctioned several weeks ago so I went ahead and fixed that. Hint: when transferring domains it's best to unlock them first. After I got that squared away and sent an e-mail to the winning bidder, I got back to work.

Glittersoul and I brainstormed for quite a while on exactly what we plan to do with the domains we purchased yesterday and we've got some great ideas. We're extremely excited to see how these go. Organizing our Strategy Action Plans took a while, but we got it down. At this point the paperwork of our receipts, notes and various organizational forms we're working on (not to mention logo designs) is getting overwhelming so Glittersoul built a ghetto-style corkboard which we'll try to get pictures of tomorrow. It's a pretty neat little design and didn't cost us a cent to put together. It may not be a looker, but it gets the job done!

Next, we got our domains pointed in the right directions, set up our e-mail accounts and began work on the upcoming projects. GOLDFISH didn't see any activity by us today, but that's okay. Instead, we set up a Twitter account! We'll give you the downlow on that tomorrow, as well. While we'll be making the bulk of our sharing be within this thread, for those of you who Tweet, we'd love to have you follow us on our journey to that 8th straight day of $300 in PPC earnings!

That'll wrap things for tonight, but in 24 hours or so, we'll be back with another slice of life....

Though some may argue our definition of a 'life' ;-)

    PS -

sithamz: Thank you for the encouragement, we hope to see more of you in here! :)

    Day 19
    -------

    May 17, 2009
    2:19am MST (Arizona)

Today didn't go quite as productively as I'd hoped but it was not a total loss. More research, but I wasted a lot of time. I suppose it's okay to have a slower day once in a while. Project LITTLEMONSTER got a good deal done for it, planning-wise and we'll try to get back into a rhythm tomorrow.

More in 24 and run-g, thanks for joining in :)

This is great, pure soap opera, i'm hooked.
Been looking for ideas to monetise something on the net for ages, I am a noob but not daft enough to part with my hard earned cash for some get rich while you sleep scheme. Was begining to think that everything was just one big scam, Finally found a place where people who DO actually know how to use a computer talk about having to actually do some work to make a living.
I am intrigued as to the new projects, are these like the children of GOLDFISH or clones? am I right in thinking one domain is not enough if you want rank high with the search engines? forgive my niavety but could someone explain why. (or direct me to the most relevant thread)
for the unitiated like me, once the objective is acheived, it would be very useful to see a summary of the processes and the reasoning for their implementation . but in the meantime Keep up the posts, great work and every success to you.
