G'day

I'm looking for a WP Theme Designed & Coded for AllThingsQuilting.com.au.

Theme needs to be obvious that it’s about quilting, something eye catching and brandable - but not so “in your face” that my visitors want to leave in a big hurry.

Quilters are very creative people so I need the design to reflect this.

You are free to create a unique colour scheme as well as a web 2.0 logo - I thought maybe each letter of “All Things Quilting” could be a different sewing related item, like a needle for the letter "l" and a piece of thread for the letter "s", a couple of buttons for the “g” etc – you get the idea - but that's just an idea and I'm certainly not the creative one here, so feel free to laugh and ignore that suggestion LOL. You get to start with pretty much a clean slate to be as creative as you can be.

I need something unique - please don't rehash a template. And before you ask me what sites I like as examples, I don’t have anything in particular in mind – you have a free creative run.

Requirements

* Web 2.0 Look/Feel with unique logo & very professional (but fun) looking
* A STRONG call to action for the optin above the fold
* A large-ish “featured Quilt Shop” box with a preview of the featured Quilt Shop and a “read more” link
* An large-ish “interviews” box with a preview of the interview and a “read more” link
* A large-ish “Quilt Shop-Til-You-Drop Trip Planner” image link and room for a bit of a spiel
* A medium size ”Quilt Groups” image link and room for a bit of a spiel
* A medium size ”Quilt Shops” image link and room for a bit of a spiel
* A medium size ”Specials” image link and room for a bit of a spiel
* A medium size ”Quilt Workshops” image link and room for a bit of a spiel
* Unique Design/Never Before Used/Will Never be Used on Another Site (All Things Quilting gets full rights to the design)
* please provide a twitter "follow us" graphic as well on the site
* provide a RSS icon/text
* XHTML Compliant

All areas must be easily edited by a complete idiot (me), I can manage widgets ok, so everything must be widget ready please.

Contest will run for one week, ending on 27th June 09 at 8pm Aussie time.

To be fair to everyone who enters, I wont accept submissions via PM – everything to be posted here.

Hopefully I’ve covered everything, but if I haven’t, just ask away!

I have ONE sample site - but I really don't want it to get in the way of your own creativity...

http://www.smartyhost.com.au/index.php

I like the freshness of it, and the colours - but as I said I'd rather see something new & original

Is something like this that you're looking for?
Feedback appreciated.

Hi

thanks for your entry - I'm looking for something with more WOW!!

It needs to be more fun looking too - quilters are vibrant, creative, and passionate about their obsession (it's not just a hobby lol)

Also I need a strong and clear call to action optin above the fold.

An optin is where the visitor puts in their name and email address, and above the fold is the top part of the page - which is what the visitor sees first when they go on the page.
