I keep telling myself this. But What does it stand for? I mean what is the real click - visitor coversion rate? What do you think constitutes to getting $300 a day? Many little sites or a few Big Earners?
It's definitely not impossible, but it will take an amazing amount of traffic. Let's say you get an average of 5c a click (this should be the norm for most sites). 300/0.05 = 6000 clicks Now supposse you get a CTR of around 2%. That means you need around 300 000 impressions a day. Getting that from one site will be quite a job. Adsense is all about the traffic. With a large amount of traffic comes a high amount of earnings. Personally I think a few big earners will be easier to keep up to date and to handle as oppossed to 300 sites making $1 a day. *Note*: The calculations make use of conservative figures. It is possible to get a higher CTR and higher CPC, but in most cases I think the above should be a good starting point.
5c for niche sites is very very low, and also 2% CTR is very very low. Make 100 niche sites with avg. 30 uniques / day on single one and here is it at least $100. And the just sky is the limit. But BTW, it isn't easy, this is HARD WORK.
I think you need to find a happy medium of sites, you don't 200 sites but you probably don't want 1 or 2 either. A handful of well run, popular sites could easily achieve $300/day. Even one well run and popular site could easily achieve $300/day. So yes it is VERY possible (with hard & SMART work).
Forget making $300/day with Adsense. Try to make $300/day by combining a lot of sources instead. It's easier and safer to your wallet. Plus, no more paranoia about being banned by Google.
Let me guess: Make a Myspace-related site, send out 5 billion bulletins to unsuspecting Myspace users, and then rack in the bucks, right? Good luck collecting, bro.
i was going suggest SEO and linking....then create a site in the center, submit that to as many free directories as possible. myspace sites are dead...unfortunatly.
You will choose a good paying niche. Let us say it has an average of 0.30. 300/0.3 = 1000 Now let us say the CTR is 4% (varies according to the nature of the site mainly). You need like 25,000 hits to your quality site Doable, I would say. But you will pay for the targetted traffic.
Here is a good question. How much do you have to spend to get the amount of targeted traffic in order to make $300/day?
