ut your ads in the top of the page horizontally. Right now you are hiding them, it took me a second to scroll to find them. Plus the colors don't match very well. Infact, the black background makes the whole page hard to navigate, at least for me.

    Okay, here's my 2 cents -

The forum is brand new for the most part. I don't know what people could have been looking at in the last two weeks as it looks like the majority of posts have happened today.

The placement of your adwords stuff is WAY out of the way. People won't see and then click the links. For forums, they really need to be in people's faces in order to get them to notice it.

Forums, in general, have a much lower click through rate.

If you move the ads up a bit and some how have them integrated where the posts are, you should see a click here and there. Keep working on getting more traffic to your site. The more people you have, the better chance someone will click.

    Good luck!

not to sound offensive, but those page views may be exactly what mine just was when I went to your site. it was an immediate exit. That page looks horrible ( I am basically seeing all black)

and 300-700 page views really isnt a high number. For example, so far this weekend, my page views per unique visitor is averaging 100.

Personally, I hate the black background, don't why people are using it.
Try to get it a nicer look, also forums don't earn much on adsense, so get used to it ...

so if i'm right i should do the following:

    - place ads right in front of the visitors so they can't look around them
    - blend the ads better with the background
    - make a totally different theme cuz the dark is ugly (i think it's a nice layout but i read somewhere here on dp that the layout has to be simple so people click more on the ads...)

I think most people dislikes dark background and exits pages without even looking further.

I suggest you to make its light coloured in shades of blue and white and then put ads in between posts. That will definetly improve CTR.

    Just my thought. :)

I am still trying to figure out what the forum topic is? Just like a website a forum needs a niche.

usedmac: I have to agree with you. The banner should have at least the URL and a short 5-7 word description to immediately tell the user what the fourm's about. :)

okay i've redone the layout, it's a big - and much better - difference i think. i still have to place those ads between the posts, but they're already under the articles (articles and select one ;) ).

so tell me, is this better??

Plus the other thing is your site is a webmaster forum. I don't know about everyone else, but the click through rate on the site I have for webmasters gets a wicked low click through rate.

well with my old layout i got not a single click with sometimes more than 700 pw's. Now, i've placed the ads somewhere else and the new layout the ctr has jumped to one click every 80 pw's !! :) (i don't know if i'm allowed to say that..)
