300.000 views/day website. How to increase ad profit

Hello, I get about 300000 pageviews/day. Almost 10 million views per month.

I want your advice on how to increase profit.

I'm serving google ads and getting about 6000$ per month. But that seems incredibly low.

Would Pay per thousand views be a better choice for me? And what else do you recommend. I'm open to any suggestion, even using my own ad program with pay per week or anything you might suggest, even affiliate / product selling and etc.

how many clicks you receive (or what is your CTR)? The Adsense revenue obviously depends on website content (keywords) which is not an easy thing to adjust.

On a site that big it's possible the ad network you are using isn't the problem, more along the lines of placement. I've had some websites double their income over night by simply placing the ad in a different place and I don't mean with popups or tricks.

Also, consider what your visitors are looking for and do some testing with affiliate networks. Personally, I hate the idea of pay per thousand views.

 

CTR is 1,5% and about 0.05$ per click or more

I'm not satisfied of the current income. I'm considering creating our own ad sistem and contacting major companies for set-period ad contracts or even more complex ads but at the time being I'm sure income can be improved for the basic PPC ads.

I haven't consulted anyone else on this but my personal opinion is that 6000$~ per month with 3.000.000 unique visitors is very low. (from adsense)

 

try our cpm network we give flat rates depending on the geo of your traffic.

 

Contact Google AdSense, you have enough page views for the VIP treatment with a personal consultant from their team. The payment will be much higher if you qualify.

 

Well do anything possible to get money (Money is Money) no matter where it comes from so try any options available with existing one if u intrested it launching a ad campaign pm me we can start something together.

I suggest you to add more ad network to your site like z5x, xtendmedia etc..

If your site is related to any sort of product you might try Prosperent. They have database of 50,000,000 items - and basically it works like an affiliate program in that you place an ad block and it will show products that match and you get a % of the sale. Check out their site or read their forums, it is new, but the concept is taking off.

Prosperent is now a featured publisher at cj.com in just a few months since launching. Might be what you are looking for and you can put your adsense in as a back-up if no product ads show.

i wish i could offer more insight, but your gut feeling is absolutely correct. if you have a site that is generating over 10mil hits a month, 6k is way to low.

 

That's really some good stats. I only get 1million page views monthly on my gaming site.

 

What's your website if you don't mind me asking. The content must be very good to get that many views.

 

Once again, thank you all for your suggestions. I've replaced 2 text ads with 728x90, and I have to say... I had a surprizing result. Our earnings increased from about 1500$ per week, to slightly less than 3500.
And those were amazing results for me. It might surprise you, but even I have neglected this subject. There probably are allot of other smaller websites that are far better optimized. I was shocked when i saw the earnings double, by just changing an ad format. I wonder what happens if we also change the position.
