300.000$ in 3 months with a blog

Another story of a “money making” blog.

In January 2008 Christian Slater started a blog on wordpress.com, with 0$ invested. His blog is named “Stuff White People Like” and in late February it came into NPR (Talk of the Nation) attention to establish if it’s a racist or a satire writing.

After a month, on 20th of March, a publishing house named Random House made an announce in which it says that they have paid 300.000 $ for the copyright and that they’ll publish a book named Stuff White People Like.

This is how a 3 months old blog could make you 300.000$ richer.

It was not started by Christian Slater or any other famous person, it was started by a guy named Christian Lander

It would have been way cooler if Christian Slater actually started it.

haha so the story was Christian Slater started a racist blog which sold for 300.000

Wouldn't 300.000 still be $300? This story made me laugh though.

Yeah, I think that's right. For some people it's just enough to mentions a brand and this brand will be profitable forever:)

Browsed the blog, didn't like it, it is stupid, ridiculous and not even remotely funny. In fact it was the 10 most boring minutes in my whole week.

Conclusion: I am not white any more!
Solution: Gonna do what Michael Jackson did only the opposite

Gives me an interesting idea. Use the name of a famous person like "Sylvester Stallone" and you could get some good free publicity from the controversy!

Of course, you claim that it is only a pen name, coincidence and has nothing to do with movies. lol

The guy was a guest on Conan O'Brien a few weeks back to.

    Being on Conan > $300,000
