Getting ready to head out the door. I'll give more feedback once I get back. One thing I do want to mention though. Although I want the subscription box to be noticeable, I don't want it to overwhelm the rest of the design. I see a lot of huge red buttons. Those big buttons will drown out the logo and the menu bar. Also, referring to this subscription box design again: http://www.seidesigngroup.com/blog/ I do like that newsletter/ebook icon. One thing I think would be cool is to have an ebook icon sort of flow off the page, to the left (if that makes sense?). I think that's one way to grab attention without completely blinding the header. Although "what I think" would be cool, doesn't always end up looking cool. Just shooting some ideas out there.
Thanks for your feedback, but with respect, the reason you are seeing so many red items is because of the red colouring you have in your site logo. If you think the bright red overwhelms, perhaps darkening it a little, or reducing saturation will help. I have also included a blue/grey version. See what you think.
