$30 spiked.us logo design contest

Hey,

I am looking for a logo for a new website, The site is called spiked.us and is using the same domain. It's going to be a humor video website similar to spikedhumor.com, youtube, grouper ect..

I'd like spiked.us text with a mascot/little funny character similar to what spikedhumor has.

Can you make entries quire large as i'd like the logo to be one of the main focuses of the website (it will help me judge - but not header size or anything.)

Tropica - I like the style of writing you've used but i'm not to keen on the different 'sizes' of letters. I'm looking for something a bit more web2.0 aswell.

bmr89 - I like the SPIKED text, how would it look in lower case? - try to bring out the .us as it's not just a domain extension. It's going to be "you spiked us" ect.. Part of the website. So try bring out the .us but differenciate it from the spiked and i'm really looking for a mascot.

To encourage more entries prize is going up to $40

I've uploaded a colour scheme to help people. i'd really like to see tropica's logo with it to see how it is.

My attempt!

 

XxX - i like the simplicity of this and your mascot's looking really good.
bmr89 - I like the style but the spike/mascot looks a little out of place there.
Nightvision - it's nice but im not to keen on the soft writing or the mascot.
Dustydog - it's really nice and cheeky although maybe a little meaner is needed.

I was hoping for more than just a smiley face, like maybe a character (body ect..) so for xXx has been the closest to achieving that i'm uping my prize money to the $45 mark so that i hope people can create something a little extra.

the text stands out it looks good it's themed. Maybe neededing a little more smoother as i love the text used in dustydogs logo. The mascotte doesn't suit the site theme really of yours Tropica.
