$30 Logo Design Contest for PopcornJunkie dot com

I'm looking for a logo design for a new website I'm creating called PopcornJunkie [dot] com.

Contest Details
Prize: $30 (paid via paypal)
Deadline: 04/23/2008 (Next Wednesday - 1 Week Contest)

Design Details:
- Would like the logo to be a mix of an icon and text (not text only).
- Would like a box, bowl, or tub of popcorn to be used as the icon. If the site initials (PJ) can be placed on the icon that would be cool (although not required). Whatever looks good.
- Would like the logo to contain the site URL - PopcornJunkie [dot] com.
- Would like the logo to use yellow's and red's in the logo as that will be the sites color theme. Please no blue or green in the logo.
- The logo dimension are flexible. However, we would like it to be scalable so we can use it on multiple mediums (website, business card, tshirt, etc).

Hi everyone,

First I want to thank everyone who has submitted a logo design entry so far. There are already some great logo's and I can't wait to see what else gets submitted.

Here is the feedback for each design submitted so far:

Ariestoteles: I really like this logo design. The only thing I don't like is the coloring. I think the yellow in the text is not good and makes it hard to read. Also, the popcorn buckets are too gold. They look like MTV Movie Awards. I would like the popcorn buckets to be red and the popcorn more yellow than gold. Can you also change the background color to either black or white? This one has GREAT potential it just needs some minor tweaking. Good Job!!

Dexizzle: I appreciate the time you took to submit an entry. You did a good job, but this logo doesn't fit what we are looking for. I like how you decided to use a bowl of popcorn in the middle but I need it to look a little cooler. Maybe try some different fonts and can you try and get PJ (for Popcorn Junkie) on the bowl somehow.

Ishiro: I really like your design also. I would like it if you could work on
the popcorn box a little more. Make the popcorn look better and make it look more full. Also the pocporn on the floor look more like popcorn. The only thing I am worried about is the logo text. It's too close to the text for PepperJam (URL- http://www.pepperjamnetwork.com/). Can you work on making not look so close to thier logo text? Thanks and GREAT Work!!

AddictedToFate: This one is a little too simple looking for me. I don't like the bowl of popcorn and the text is nothing special. I like how you try to keep it simple, but it needs to look cooler. Can you play with some different fonts and work on the popcorn bowl some more.

Watari: This one is interesting. It's a little out there, but still
pretty cool. I don't like how the popcorn is too white and not very
visible (just looks like the box has a white afro). If you could also not make it so tall that would be cool too.

ScorpionAgency: I apprecaite the time you took to submit an entry, but it's not what we are looking for. It's too detailed. I also don't like having a person. You are welcome to give it another try if you like, but this one is not in the right direction.

Here is my daily feedback report:

Watari: Great Job on the revisions. It looks great. I'll accept this version as a final entry for the contest.

Alztudio: Thank you for revising your entry. The logo looks ok. I would prefer it if you went with more of a font for the text. Can you try some additional revisions using an actual font for company name, instead of freehanding it?

Ariestoteles: GREAT JOB on the revisions. The popcorn buckets look 110% better. Don't touch those anymore -- they are just right. I do have some feedback on the text coloring still can you please change the colors so that it fades from yellow to orange. Make sure the bottom half color on the text isn't so dark (i think that is what's making it hard to read).
