Logo designers usually use vector drawing tools for logo design and photoshop is not in that class. If people want to really improve themselves they should use the right tools for the job. I would recommend Illustrator. Flaming text output compared to logoease output is like a zx81 computer compared to a dell bought last week. Thgey are a million miles away. What I have noticed in the comps here is that loads of people entering are using the logo creator or they have a clipart library and are plugging in clipart next to text. Now there is nothing at all wrong with that as long as people know what they get. Have a look at what you can do with Logo Ease and then feel free to comment on whether it is powerful or not. Yes, I own the tool. So if you are a user of The Logo Creator or you have photoshop and you are plugging in clipart then why not use a logo creator that outputs real vector art. I won't be entering too many comps but feel free to use Logo Ease to enter yourself.
sounds good, i use photoshop custom shapes, which are all vector graphics, not clipart. alot of people, including myself, use these, as they come as part of the photoshop package, but they're easily available for free over the internet anyway. you might aswell take the cash for this contest anyway. or just donate it to.. i don't know.. me? (just kidding) good luck anyway.
Not one to take the money and run If the contest holder really does want to give something then $10 to save the children fund would go down well.
what formats do your files come in? because most contest holders want .psd files, so they have the free will to edit the image as they wish? nice idea about the save the children fund
You get a vector eps file that is 100% editable (among other non editable formats). The correct software to use would be something like Illustrator because you may lose some editing capability in Photoshop. Simon
