Maybe if you can try to describe what "classy, businessy, coroporate" means to you... and then we can try and revise our concepts... Otherwise we seem to be throwing mud on the wall to see what is going to stick.
A corporate logo is a corporate logo. It is absolutely clear. A corporate logo means simple yet powerful and inventive logo. A logo with gradients and effects is not a corporate logo. Corporate logos use a few colors or one color. Look at a logo of any big company. Coca Cola, Pepsi, McDonnalds, IBM, Microsoft, BP, Shell, Channel, NBC, Nike, Adidas, CK etc. It is simple, clear and you can easily identify the company. Of course there are more sophisticated logos then these simple and still are corporate but it is minority. Your logos are not corporate logos. Too many colors, too many gradients, effects etc.
"I See," said this blind man... something more like: PS: Those big corporations are using 3D effects (gradients, bevels, shading, etc) and more color these days.
Yes, but the basic logo is usually without other effects. Most of you is using photoshop shockwave effects but these are not easily resizable (like shadows, glow etc.) and so these are unusable in logos. IMHO those last are definitely more corporate than those before but it is on powerlifer to decide,
