$30 Logo contest for a wallpaper website **modify an existing logo**

    Check it out.

There was a contest by another person on here (komodo), and I ended up coming up with a design for him. The other entries in the contest weren't what he wanted.

The design unfortunately needs more oomph, because as it is currently brandable, it needs to something to stick out a little more.

That's why I'm offering $30 bucks to whoever can come up with the best "bold" in-your-face, but still professional and brandable logo

Here is the current logo and it's going to be resized to fit a space like I have shown below

The space it's going to be resized to (the blue)

Oh yeah, please if you can provide vector format. If you can't then no big deal, but I'd prefer it.

That's all I have to say. Thanks. Good luck.

Here is a link to the current .psd as well

    http://www.hidepinkshirtguy.com/dn_logo.psd

If you'd like to come out with a completely new design and that both of us feel that it works well, then you will earn $50, but only do that if you have an awesome idea for a logo.

Is this what you mean by "more oomph" ?

    Scoopy, thanks for the entry.

Not quite what I'm looking for. The gradient makes the text hard to read and the icon is pretty much the same. Maybe make it more plastic(y) if possible or add some other effects to make it not so hard to figure out what the text says.

    weblazer,

Thanks for the entry but it's not really too much different from what I currently have.

I have an example of a logo that I think would explain the direction I'd like to move in:

Do you know the former contest holder
    who initiated it, cobracommander?

It's explained in the first post. :)

I initiated it, and choose Cobracommander's entry, which this thread is about revising now.

And remember guys, we're going for good and solid... but most of all, professional. Imagine the logo not just on a website, but printed on tshirts or letterheads.

I don't mean to step in on cobra's contest.... but we're focusing more on revising the iconic logo (the symbol)... don't worry so much about the text.

weblazer, as komodo (site owner) mentioned, the icon is more of a priority to have changed than the text is.

miccas, Not really feeling your entry too much. You don't really need to worry about the font more so than the icon which needs to be beefed up a little which is what I am looking for. :)

coolwanz, I like the changes you made. If you can try to add anything else to the icon to make it stand out a little more but still be able to look good when printed on t-shirts and other gear (think resizing), that would be great. Not sure if you read my post #5, but if you have, do you think there would be a possibility while using the same colors and shapes that you could do something creative like the designer did for "jurnii"

jackuul, Your submission is a little too hard on the eyes and won't do well when resized or printed on merchandise.

eruct, Thank you, but I'm afraid the changes you've made aren't significant enough. If you have a way to incorporate it some other way like the example in my post #5, I would like to see that.

Thanks for the submissions so far!!

Don't know why I didn't see the similarities before ? But... you think that design resembles another logo a bit too closely ?
