Contest $30 logo contest (clean & modern for tour operator)

Hi all.

Looking for a clean and modern logo for a tour company.

Logo main text: "LoveHistory"
Subtext: "Liverpool"

We would like the logo to be clean and modern, using blue (eg: #013385, #0062dc) as the text colour for "Love" and "History" respectively.

The logo should be professional, though lively. Not corporate. Fonts such as Helvetica Neue are heading in the right direction.

We have two concepts in mind for inspiration, though we would definitely like to see what else you can come up with.

1) Either the "o" in Love, or the "o" in History could be replaced with a clock, with the perimiter made up of a backwards facing arrow. For example: http://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/momenticons-gloss-basic/momenticons-gloss-basic/32/history.png

2) The text "LoveHistory" is surrounded by the "history" clock in the background, for example (a really bad concept: http://i55.tinypic.com/qsmhk3.png). Obviously your logo wouldn't use some free icon, and would actually match the colour scheme.

If we could do something that involves your own version of the clock + arrow (eg: http://i55.tinypic.com/qsmhk3.png) that would be great.

Looking to finish this in ~72 hours.

Hi, nice attempt. The concepts in the first post were just a guide, we're really looking for someone to come up with something similar through their own interpretation.

Also, is that a copy/pasted icon in there?

Hi all. Just to make it clear that we aren't looking for a remake of the images in the first post. That is just an idea, we'd like to see your own creative input and see what else you can come up with.

With all due respect I could have made either 4 of the above myself, I just don't have the time. We are looking for a cutting edge.

We love the concept you've got. Could we see a revision without the orange background, and using a modern font rather than the hand drawn font? Also that petal on the left of the L, could that also be made up of shades of blue?

Hi, Here's my entry:
I made a different modern design...instead of the analog clock, I used the hourglass to create a more "history" feeling. as you can see, the hour glass is defying gravity, seems like it's turning back the time. The heart shape is flowed upward.
