Contest $30 logo + business card design - 4 days

Hello,

after a very successful 1st contest here on DP (https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/70-logo-design-7-days.2731956/page-5#post-19039887), I am doing another one.

I need:

1. brandable, modern and clean looking logo with a text digitalni-katalogy.cz (which means digital-catalogs). It is for a freelancer who makes digital product catalogs for iPad/Android tablets/PCs for various, mostly industrial companies.
2. business card design with a name, position, address, phone number, email and a website name

Contest is valid for 4 days and payment via Paypal. All the rights for the designs belong to the contest holder after payment.
Vector file for the logo is expected.

I will do my best to give you guidance on every design you post.

@cosmin90 - Hey, thanks for the submission. The font and color is ok. The dots above "i" are nice, we like it. However, the logo is too abstract - no link between the meaning and the logo.

FOR ALL: we decided to change the text to only digitalnikatalogy / DigitalniKatalogy - whichever looks better. So without the hyphen and .cz

By the way, the icon symbolizez two open pages incorporated in a window (pc, or tablet).

 

Thanks for clarification, but I couldn't get it from the first impression which is probably crucial. I like the idea, but the design needs to be modified.

@cosmin90 Thanks, this is really nice, we like it. Could you try to make the business card? Just:

I guess that logo goes on one side, contact on the other. Or you could try to center it all. Up to you.

 

@jreign Thanks for the logo. It is a nice try but we do not like it overall as much as the logo cosmin's logo. It should be cleaner and somehow show that it is about digital catalogs. We do not feel like it when we see this logo. So, the revision should look more modern and clean and the font can also be better. We do not like the underline also. Thanks for your effort anyway!

@MuDesigns Thanks for the submission. I see where you are going and we like it. However, it looks a little bit too basic. Can you try to make it more "sharper" and give it a more modern look? The idea has potential, but needs more work.

 

@digital_irfan Thanks, that looks professional but we want the logo to be more symbolic rather then letters. And the dots above the "i" do not look as clean as in cosmin's design. Maybe something else can be used. Otherwise, the business-card looks great.

@digital_irfan: ok, this is better (although the previous design is cleaner, just not symbolic). Some suggestions: could the computer look somehow different (not tilted) so we could put the DK logo inside while actually looking good? Like some combination of your previous attempt and this one. So we can put the DK down on the business-card then.

I don't know if that is even possible to do, but if it is, it might look good.

 

@jreign Thanks for the submission, but this is not what we are looking for. The colors should be different and the logo is just not "it".
@me2_me2 Thank you, it looks interesting but doesn't seem to fit the digital symbolics. Looks more like a globe stand.
