$30 Header Contest - Baseball Forum

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a new header for my vbulletin forum. It is baseball related and can be found at http://talk-baseball.com

The current header being used right now was from a contest that I ran last year. I really like the chat symbol with the "TB" and the batter so I would like that to stay.

I have uploaded a .psd with the chat symbol here: http://talk-baseball.com/talkbaseball.psd
Please download it and try to use that as a starting point if at all possible.

@ Ninjax - Thank you for your submission, I like it.
- The baseball with the flames looks nice but it is way too big and probably shouldn't be used as the divider between the logo and the pictures. Maybe choose something a little more gradual.
- The photos on the right are a good idea, but they need to be more current. That is an old picture of Barry Bonds. Pictures from the Tampa Bay Rays and/or the Philadelphia Phillies would be more appropriate. Also, pictures of any of these guys would work too: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/awards/y2008/
- And one last thing, where it says "Baseball Forums" all looks like 1 word.

Hey guys great submissions so far. I will be back later with feedback

 

@Ninjax - I'm still not really feeling the baseball, the bat, or the pictures on the right. I like the left side though.

@technoguy - I'm likin' it. I like the layout. I like the Talk-Baseball font (although please add the dash), but the baseball forums font is a little skimpy. Maybe try to make it bold or something. Other than that my one complaint would be that, our forum mainly focuses on Major League Baseball, and you included all college players on the right. Like I told Ninjax, if you are looking for the names of some of the stars of the game you should go here: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/awards/y2008/

@Design Thunder - Where did your post go? I got an email notification that you made a post but its not here...?

Anyways great job so far guys. Keep 'em comin. And I'm sorry if I'm being a little picky.

@Pratinnki - The netted background is an interesting idea that I might like. You need to line up the logo and the title box better though. Also the logo just doesn't seem to fit in well because it is the only red object in the image.

@Barbie2274 - It looks cool. The only thing that's really bothering me is the actual Talk-Baseball text. I think it is a little too big and is the wrong shade of red. Its a little too Orange for my taste.

@Ninjax - The pictures on the right are much better. The transition is still weird to me lol. Sorry.
