Yes, I'm seeing the same thing. This is the 4th time in 3 years I see a big drop and then it slowly ramps back up. However, last July my site was totally de-listed from Google. I had to request a re-inclusion and cleaned up what I thought "may" have caused the site being de-listed. My site magically appeared back on Google 2 weeks later but took weeks to ramp back up. The site is still not where it use to be in terms of Google traffic. Google page rank for the site just recently went from a 0 to a 4 so I thought that was good news, but I guess not. Prior to 0 it was a 3. The weird thing was when my page rank went to 0, Google organic traffic surged for a few months. Google is very weird. Don't quit your day job if you are relying on Google for traffic, even if you are paying for it via Adwords. Google can kill that too without warning. What scares me about Google is if you ever get to a point where you are making decent money from Google Organic Search, keep your fingers crossed because Google can immediately kill it.
As I mentioned in some other thread here, it might be because the PR update is due by the end of this month, so the Big G is thinking to do all the things at once.
Unbelievable. I was completely de-listed from google last night. We are talking about a 7 year old website that was on page 1 of google for many keywords for the last 5 years or so. Nothing changed on the website for the last 2 years except adding new content like always. Google works in mysterious ways. If it's not re-indexed in the next week or so i will apply for reconsideration, but this was a very big hit i got.
If most people are seeing a big drop in traffic from Google then Some people must be seeing a spike in their traffic. The traffic has to go some place.
on this big google search engine place - we obay the rules. They work with a smart algorithm, and depending on your traffic you can receive downs and ups, but sometimes they are not very true, i bealive.!
