Hey there, sorry about the slowness of the updates, I'm letting the others see all the entries, unfortunately one of them was out of the country for a week just there (I didn't know he would be) but I'll be back with a fuller update very soon, sorry for the wait and thanks for the entries

OK, I've had an email from a colleague and this is what he had to say:

    ------

Yep, I had a look at the logos. There was one good one, which was turtlepod Post 7 - it was not even a shield but a portrait of FH and a quote from him on an ivory parchment background. None of the others had quite got the idea of what I was looking for: a more heraldic shield with a three loop scroll at the bottom, with Francis Hutcheson Institute spaced out as one word per loop. peerhaps a golden bursting sun (as on Argentine flag), azure background (i.e. clear sky) and some kind of scientific symbols e.g. of books, instruments. Perhaps one could quarter the shield. Also, something that has a Georgian 18th century feel to it, italic or copper plate lettering.

    -----

So there you go. Can anyone give him what he wants for $30?

I should also say that he's a historian so if your using google images search to look for ideas for scientific instruments and historical things you should search for dates like 1700, 1750, that type of thing

    thanks ppl
