    Interlinking is fine as long as it is ggod for the user. There is always a risk that interlinking may trigger a spam filter. So a hum or mini network approach is best.

    Looks like Jim Karter has built up a nice cash cow.

    I would skim off a little to develop a premium portal while keeping the core business intact.

    Like they say Content is king and with 300 web sites all with unique content its not hard to understand that his sites would be popular with SE's.

    Still wondering how he goes about keeping each site looking like it is on its own and not related to the other sites...

    These are the earnings from website I personally maintain.

    Blog hardly use any adsense. But these earnings are not only from the blog.

    Each of the site uses its own unique template, has different promotion stragegy and budget for each.

    All I can say is that we all need to take a cue from his adsense placement

    Pretty intense and I guess its time I worked on mine

    Right but I mean SE and hosting area not in design. Like IP and things like that so google, yahoo and others see them as not being related to each other.

    I feel something wrong or fishy over here, i have been tracing Jim Carter's growth. I know what 2 niches he has got the websites running.Those good niches, but i don't think he is earning 30k-40k as shown in his blog.

    Look at this post in namepros : http://www.namepros.com/2298929-post45.html

    he was earning $2500 during the month of 01-11-2007

    But look at the earnings now in the same page of the blog : $2500 has changed to $41,900

    I don't understand how... Just a few things i observed while i was doing a check on his business.Nothing personal, but was wondering how that was.

    200 sites for 2 Niche ? :rolleyes:

    I believe you must be using a hierarchy for your 200 sites

    For an example if you your primary niche was loan then you would have made

    200 sites like

    phelodelphialoan.com --------->1

    cityname followed by niche ->........

    something of that structure
    such that you rank top for all the 200 keywords for the same niche with different sites !!

    30kusd from adsense is awesome .. at the same time i will consider it as lame because affiliate program can make you much more .. i just started wondering what niche your targeting i need to do some research work tonight !
    i will try to find out the list of your sites and make analysis :D

    THIS SINGLE THREAD WILL INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS !!! TO HIS THREAD AM PRETTY SURE ABOUT THIS
